B3: Evolution of Psychological Health and Safety: Measuring and Monitoring
The Mental Health Commission of Canada presents a panel presentation on the evolution of psychological health and safety in the workplace based on the National Standard of Canada and the alignment with the new International Standard for Psychological Health and Safety (ISO 45003:2021). Gain a better understanding of the growing importance for monitoring and measuring the implementation of workplace mental health strategies. Learn about the types of data that can be collected from an audit and how we foresee the role and significance of audits  in the future. Participants will also learn about the types of tools that are available to support conformance with Standards and how MHCC is supporting organizations throughout these processes. 
Meet your Presenters

Tiana is an enthusiastic mental health advocate with a passion for turning systems knowledge into real-world change. She is currently working as a senior program manager at the Mental Health Commission of Canada, where she supports employers in building workplace mental health strategies that align with the National Standard of Canada on Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. Her former experience includes six years serving on the Alberta Mental Health Review Panel where she gained extensive experience with in both mental health and judicial systems. She was also previously selfemployed as an independent Mental Health First Aid instructor and conflict management consultant with a focus on community development. Tiana holds a degree in Human Services, along with certifications in Psychological Health and Safety, Mediation, Communication and Conflict Resolution as well as Workplace Fairness Restoration. She is currently undergoing her master's degree in Transdisciplinary Leadership.

Liz leads the Workplace Mental Health program at the Mental Health Commission of Canada, which is dedicated to helping organizations thrive by equipping them with the data, knowledge, and skills they need to implement effective workplace mental health strategies that align with the National Standard of Canada for Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace. With more than 25 years’ experience helping organizations implement health and safety management systems, including leading the development of the Standard, Liz brings her passion for peoples’ wellbeing and success to all she does.

Sandra has extensive experience in strategic planning, outreach and promotion, and stakeholder relations within the national non-profit health sector and research consulting. At the Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC), Sandra has developed strategies and led projects to promote awareness and facilitate action for psychological health and safety in workplaces across Canada as well as post-secondary student mental health and well-being. Sandra led the national By Health for Health Collaborative of health leaders to advance workplace mental health in healthcare settings. Sandra also oversees other population-based initiatives related to the justice system, older adults and youth and she is a former Board member for the Canadian Centre for Women’s Empowerment.
